Our Instructors

Meet Dana

Dana is a longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia and enjoys indoor cycling. She received her indoor cycling certification through Mad Dogg Athletics, the owners of the well-known SPIN® brand. After realizing there were no indoor cycling studios in the Northeast, she decided to fix her own problem and open Northeast Cycle. She currently works full-time as an accountant for a well-established multifamily real estate manager. Aside from business, and cycling, Dana enjoys hiking, Philadelphia sports, college football (Go Irish!), following her favorite band, Arcade Fire, and her fur babies, Win Butler and Tug McGraw.

Meet Lauren

Lauren has made a life-long commitment to fitness. She has a vast background in, and knowledge of, a number of fitness programs. She is a licensed Zumba®, STRONG Nation®, and Advanced Group Fitness & Bootcamp instructor; as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach. Her love of music and dance translates into her cycling routines, making her classes fun and inspiring. In addition to her career as a fitness instructor, Lauren is a marketing professional and works in Center City Philadelphia. Originally from Lower Bucks County, she now lives in South Jersey with her husband and two French bulldogs. When she is not working out, you can usually find her at a local winery, walking her dogs, or listening to music (mostly putting her cycling routines together!)

Meet Jill

Jill is from Northeast Philadelphia and has lived here most of her life. In the year, she bought a house in Somerton with her fiance. Fitness has been a huge part of her life since college and has become a part of her daily routine.  As a social worker, she is a strong believer in self-care and feeling good about her workouts and nutrition. It helps her sustain and (almost) stress-free life! A fun workout with friends should be a hobby, not a chore! She participates in HIIT classes and has recently entered the cycling community and can not wait for this new journey.

Meet Christy

Christy is thrilled to be an instructor at the first cycling studio in our area.  She was introduced to cycling years ago by Dana, the owner of Northeast Cycle.  It was at that time she fell in love with the way cycling challenged her mentally and physically. Therefore, she is really looking forward to helping her riders challenge themselves each class and achieve their personal goals. Aside from cycling, Christy loves distance running, yoga, and all things related to health and fitness!

Meet Caitlin

Cait has been instructing for over two years. She was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. Along with cycling, Cait's hobbies include running, yoga, traveling, and flying planes. She is eager to join the Northeast Cycle team and is excited to promote fitness in safe and fun manner!

Meet Maureen

Maureen is a person who is passionate about fitness, and fully believes in its benefits, both mental and physical! She got into cycling a few years ago when she could no longer run (her first true-love in terms of cardio) due to a knee injury she sustained. So, to sustain the mental and health benefits she personally achieves from fitness, she turned to cycling, an activity she enjoyed so much that she decided to become an AAA-ISMA certified instructor! Maureen feels cycling is an exercise that people of all ages and abilities can thoroughly enjoy and benefit from! She enjoys creating classes to fit any and all abilities, whether you’re a first-time rider or just finished the iconic Tour-De-Shore. She enjoys getting to know the people and clients she serves, so that she can best serve them! So come in for a class! Maureen can’t wait to ride with you!

Meet Patrice

Patrice is an avid cycler for the past ten years. She received her Expert Rating instructor certificate within the last year and is excited to bring her energetic and fun personality to Northeast Cycle.  Patrice is from the Northeast and spends her summers between Philadelphia and Wildwood with her husband and two daughters, Kristen and Lindsey.

Meet Sarah

I became interested in fitness about four years ago when I quit smoking. I wanted something to keep me busy. Within months, I found myself lifting, cycling, and running. I decided to get certified in indoor cycling to support local businesses and boost interest. When I am not cycling, I am teaching fourth graders, down the shore, going to concerts, trying new wineries, or cheering on all Philadelphia Sports teams!

Meet Maryellen

Maryellen lives in Northeast Philadelphia and is a CAT scan technologist in Trenton, NJ. She plans on having motivational playlists and to always keep them fresh! All she asks is that you do your best whether it is your first ride, or your 1000th!

Meet Julia

Julia is a passionate and motivational cycling instructor by night, and compliance bank professional by day. Julia also enjoys yoga, reading, cooking and traveling.

Meet Shelby

Hi!! I am Shelby and I am 26 years old. I live in Northeast Philadelphia. I am a server, bartender, dog mom, and student at Community College of Philadelphia. Taking cycling classes has become a huge part of my life and has helped me to lose 30 lbs over the past year. I decided to get certified to teach classes so that I can share my love for indoor cycling with others! I am super excited to start my journey as an instructor!

Meet Rita

In 2014, I started a health journey that led to shedding some weight through a lot of endurance training and yoga. After getting tired of running, I decided I needed a new routine in my life which led me to my first indoor cycling class and the rest is history! During the school year, I teach high school students at Neumann-Goretti. When I am not on a bike, I am spending time with my family and friends or hanging out with my dog, Frankie. Quarantine allowed me to make time and accomplish my goal of becoming a certified cycling instructor. I look forward to making every ride a party with great sing along music that sets every rider up for success in the class and beyond with contagious positivity!

Meet Cadie

Cadie is very excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to be part of the NECycle Team. She believes that starting your day off with a good workout sets the tone for the rest of the day. Her goal is to bring fresh, fun, energetic and positive energy to the class. She hopes to add value to the studio and is super excited to start this journey! Fun Fact: She loves coffee and spending time at the beach with her family!
